Gene flocking sample collection swab
Specimen Collection Flocked Swab
Manufacturers supply disposable oral swab microbial DNA gene flocking sample collection swab
Flocking swab introduction:
Flocked swabs are mainly used for the examination of microbial samples collected from the throat. Flocked swabs have excellent sample collection and release capabilities, and can quickly absorb trace samples with high release efficiency
Our flocked swabs feature vertical nylon fibers to optimize sample collection and elution into the transfer medium. Flocked swabs also feature molded breakpoints that allow you to break off the swab stick safely and easily, and there are multiple breakpoint options for different tubes.
A good sample contributes to an accurate diagnosis, and a good sample is collected through proper sample collection. HCY offers flocked swabs with an anatomical and ergonomic design that optimizes the efficiency of target analyte collection and improves patient comfort.
Advantages of flocking swabs:
1. Proprietary flocking process optimizes collection and elution
2. Breakpoint molded handle to help better break off
3. Anti-slip frosted handle end
4. ABS handle (medical grade) with ergonomic and anatomical design, comfortable and convenient to use
5. Flocking swab collection without fiber or glue residue interference
A highlight of flocked swabs
Flocked swabs release up to 95% of the sample compared to fiber swabs, compared to 25%.
Anatomical and ergonomic design improves patient comfort and specimen collection.
Flocked swabs provide immediate and spontaneous release of samples into liquid media.
Compatible with a variety of applications such as rapid antigen detection, EIA, molecular-based assays, DFA, cytology, bacteriology and virology cultures.
Flexible handle with molded breakpoints
NOTE: Samples collected by a healthcare professional or the patient themselves are acceptable when the patient is in an appropriate clinical setting
Flocking swab uses:
Flocked swab application: oropharyngeal sampling
Flocked swabs are mainly used for the examination of microbial samples collected from the throat. With excellent sample collection and release capabilities, it can quickly adsorb trace samples with high release efficiency
Flocking swab oropharyngeal swab sampling method:
①. Ask the patient to sit first, then ask the patient to tilt their head back, open their mouth, and make an "ah~~" sound.
②. The sampler uses a tongue depressor to fix the patient's tongue and uses polyester or calcium alginate to pass through the tongue to reach the posterior wall of the throat and the recesses and lateral walls of the tonsils.
③. Repeated wiping 3 to 5 times to collect mucosal cells.
④. Slowly take the swab out of the mouth, put it vertically into the sampling tube, break the tail of the throat swab, and tighten the sampling tube to avoid leakage
⑤. Send to the laboratory as soon as possible.
